Tell me about the household sector
The household sector is one of the three main economic sectors, and it is composed of individuals and households that purchase goods and services with their own money. This sector includes all final consumers—individuals, families, and nonprofit organizations—as well as institutions such as hospitals and universities. The other two economic sectors are the business sector and the government sector. The household sector is the largest of the three sectors, accounting for over two-thirds of all economic activity in the United States. This sector is responsible for most of the spending on consumer goods and services, such as food, clothing, shelter, health care, education, transportation, entertainment, and recreation.
